Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 160°C. Grease and line a suitable loaf pan that fits into your air fryer basket with parchment paper.
Mash the Bananas: In a large mixing bowl, I don't normally mash the smooth, I like them a bit Chunky mixed.
All-in-One Mixing: Add the softened butter, vegetable oil, brown sugar, eggs, and banana to the bowl. Mix everything together until well combined.
Add Dry Ingredients: Sift the self-raising flour, baking soda, and salt into the bowl. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add Condensed milk and mix
Add milk and mix well
Pour into Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
Add in the Chocolate Chips and stir in the batter so the chocolate chip is coated in batter
Bake in Air Fryer: Place the loaf pan in the preheated air fryer and bake for 45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Check the bread around the 40-minute mark, and if the top starts to brown too quickly, cover it loosely with aluminum foil (Mine took 45 minutes).
Cool and Serve: Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.
You are free to double this banana bread recipe if you have lots of bananas to use up.
